Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) responded to a structure fire at 10806 Buckskin Place in Tampa early Wednesday morning.

TAMPA, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) responded to a structure fire at 10806 Buckskin Place in Tampa early Wednesday morning.

HCFR ‘s dispatch center received a 911 call at 2:13 AM Wednesday from a first-party caller initially reporting a fire in the trees behind their house.

“Our dispatchers continued interviewing the caller, eventually determining there was a structure fire at the location,” said HCFR.

Engine 39 was the first unit on the scene, reporting a fully involved large block-constructed barn.

The crew stretched a hose line to begin a defensive attack. Additional crews deployed more handlines to attack the blaze from several sides of the structure.

Incident Command contacted the owners of the structure, who said the barn was unoccupied. Water supply was established from a nearby hydrant. The fire was under control within approximately 45 minutes of the first unit arriving on the scene.

There were no injuries to civilians or first responders. HCFRs Fire Investigations Unit is on the scene investigating the cause of the fire.
