A seat at the table for the reconstruction of Gaza will cost a flat $1 billion. That is the asking price for permanent membership on President Donald Trump’s newly formed “Board of Peace,” a high-profile body tasked with rebuilding the coastal enclave following two years of war between Israel and Hamas.

A U.S. official confirmed the financing structure, stating that all funds raised from entry fees will be directed directly to reconstruction projects. The administration appears to be leveraging the board’s exclusivity to raise the massive capital required to stabilize the region.

President Trump, who announced he will serve as the board’s chair, framed the initiative as “the greatest and most prestigious board ever assembled.”

The guest list signals an attempt to blend American political leadership with international figures and even geopolitical rivals. In a move likely to draw significant global attention, the White House has extended an invitation to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Speaking to reporters, Dmitry Peskov said, “President Putin also received through diplomatic channels an invitation to join this Board of Peace.”

Beyond the Kremlin, the board includes a mix of current and former Western leaders. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is listed as a member, alongside former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

While the administration has not released a full list of potential donors, the $1 billion threshold suggests the White House is targeting sovereign wealth funds and the world’s wealthiest individuals to underwrite the peace process.
