Deputies in Florida are ramping up the search for a man who shot and killed a passenger of another car on Interstate 4 last week in an apparent road rage incident.

Deputies in Florida are ramping up the search for a man who shot and killed a passenger of another car on Interstate 4 last week in an apparent road rage incident.

On Tuesday, July 5, before 7:25 p.m., John-John Villafane and another man were in a blue Toyota Corolla heading east on I-4 stuck in traffic, when they got into a verbal altercation with a man in another vehicle.

The suspect (the driver of the other vehicle) then fired at the victims, striking Mr. Villafane, who was a passenger in the Corolla.

Deputies say that Mr. Villafane was transported to the hospital by the man driving the Corolla, and tragically, succumbed to his injuries. The driver, with the victim, could only describe the suspect as a black male in a blue sedan.

Neither Mr. Villafane nor the other man in the Corolla with him were armed.

Deputies are ramping up the search for a man who shot and killed a passenger of another car on Interstate 4 last week.

“The reward for information in the murder of 53-year-old John-John Villafane has been raised to $10,000. This is all thanks to the Florida Sheriffs Association, which contributed the additional funds,” said Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
