WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. – A 12-year-old boy died Tuesday afternoon following a collision with a pickup truck in the Crosswinds subdivision.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred at approximately 4:52 PM on April 21, 2026. A 45-year-old man from Wesley Chapel was driving a Ford F250 northbound on Windstar Circle.
As the driver turned west onto Moonrise Way, the 12-year-old male was traveling eastbound on a V6Pro electric skateboard.

According to investigators, the child entered the path of the truck and was struck.
Following the collision, the boy was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol has not released further details regarding the crash.
