PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A veteran Pasco County sheriff’s deputy died by suicide Wednesday morning at an agency facility in Land O’ Lakes, authorities said.
Deputies found 51-year-old Deputy William Wynn dead around 8 a.m. inside the Pasco Sheriff’s Office construction facility along the Charles Bo Harrison Way area. Investigators determined he suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound from his agency-issued handgun.
The agency announced the death Wednesday, stating that the Pasco Sheriff’s Office shared the news “with profound sadness.”
Wynn served with the Pasco Sheriff’s Office for more than 12 years. His most recent assignment was working as a construction deputy for the agency.
