Two men were taken into custody after Hillsborough County deputies searched a Town ‘n’ Country residence and discovered trafficking amounts of illicit drugs, authorities announced.
Detectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office carried out a court-ordered residential search warrant at a property along McAdam Place. The target of the investigation was 46-year-old London Reyes, an individual previously convicted of 14 felonies.
During the search of the home, investigators found and seized substantial quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine that met the statutory thresholds for armed trafficking charges. Deputies also recovered cocaine along with several other illicit substances from the premises.
Reyes was taken into custody on-site and booked into the Hillsborough County jail system on multiple drug-related charges.
A second man located on the property, identified as 37-year-old Michael Caballero, was also placed under arrest after deputies determined he was in personal possession of fentanyl and additional illegal narcotics.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office stated that the operation successfully removed significant amounts of narcotics from local neighborhood streets. Formal charging documents and future court dates for both defendants remain pending with the Hillsborough County Clerk of the Circuit Court.
