HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. – A 19-year-old Gibsonton man was killed in a crash that happened just after 4:30 am on Tuesday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 2016 Jeep Wrangler, was traveling eastbound along US-92, west of Mango Road.

Troopers say a Nissan Altima, was stopped eastbound for the traffic signal at Mango Road and the Jeep failed to stop and rear-ended the Nissan.

According to FHP, the passenger in the Nissan, a 19-year-old Gibsonton man, suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the Jeep, a 35-year-old man from Auburndale, sustained no injuries, while the driver of the Nissan suffered only minor injuries in the crash.
