2 Buccaneers Test Positive For COVID-19

TAMPA Fla. – According to ESPN. three members of the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers have tested positive for COVID-19 at the team’s training facility.

The Buccaneers have closed areas of the building and will sanitize those affected areas before reopening.

ESPN has reported that at least two of the players had positive COVID-19 results.

On Friday, ESPN also reported an assistant coach had tested positive for COVID-19, prompting two other coaches to be self-quarantined.

“We can confirm that there have been individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 at the AdventHealth Training Center,” the team said in a statement.

“We immediately activated our COVID-19 Response Plan and vacated the affected areas, which will remain closed until extensive sanitization is completed. The individuals who may have been exposed have already been notified and are following the established protocols which include a 14-day quarantine period.

Yesterday, Lightning training camp was temporarily halted, due to positive cases of COVID-19 with players and staff.
