2 Dead In 2 Separate Shootings That Happened Minutes Apart In Tampa

TAMPA, FL. – Police in Tampa are investigating two shooting homicides two men dead, that happened Sunday afternoon.

According to police, on Sunday at approximately 12:32 PM, officers were dispatched to the 6700 block of Elm Ct. in reference to a report of someone being shot.

When officers arrived, they located a 26-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.

As officers were responding to Elm Ct., dispatch received a separate call from the 5700 block of Steven Ct. at 12:34 PM in reference to someone being shot.

When officers arrived, they located a 27-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The man was transported to a nearby hospital where he also died from his injuries.

The two calls appear to be related, according to police.

Although early in the investigation, this does not appear to be a random act.
