2 Dead In Two Unrelated Homicides In Tampa Overnight

TAMPA, FL. – Tampa Police Detectives are investigating two overnight homicides, in two unrelated cases.

Officers responded to the 3600 block of 29th Ave in reference to shots heard in the area.

Upon officers arriving, they found an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers initiated life-saving measures until Tampa Fire Rescue transported the victim to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

In a second shooting homicide, Officers were dispatched to 3rd Ave near 17th St. in reference to a subject being shot. Upon their arrival they found an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers initiated CPR until the victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Although early in the investigation, these two homicides do not appear to be related nor do they appear to be a random act.
