2-Pasco Men Seriously Injured in Wesley Chapel Crash Tuesday

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – An early morning crash on Rt. 54 West, has left two Pasco men in serious condition, according to Pasco Fire Rescue.

Flordia Highway Patrol says around 5:40 AM Tuesday; a box truck was traveling northbound on Oak Grove Boulevard in the left turn lane approaching SR-54. A pickup truck was traveling eastbound on SR-54 approaching Oak Grove Boulevard.

At the red traffic signal, the box truck entered the intersection and path of the pickup.

The front of the pickup collided with the left side of the box truck, and both vehicles overturned within the intersection.

Pasco Fire Rescue says that both drivers, a 38-year-old man from Holiday and a 39-year-old man from New Port Richey, have been listed as trauma alerts, and there is a small fuel spill.

Expect delays on Rt. 54 West past Collier Parkway and heading towards I-75.
