PASCO COUNTY, FL. – A 20-year-old Port Richey woman has died from injuries suffered in a single-vehicle crash around 7:40 pm on Thursday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the car was traveling eastbound on SR-54, approaching Country Place Blvd in the inside lane, when the driver, a 25-year-old New Port Richey man, lost control for an unknown reason.
The vehicle traveled to and struck the center concrete median, rotated, then overturned. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle upon impact, with both serious suffering injuries.
The vehicle passenger was transported to an area hospital, and later died from her injuries.
