SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. – The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) conducted a comprehensive county-wide sweep for outstanding warrants on Monday, June 24. The intelligence-led operation, designed to locate and apprehend wanted individuals, was a success, resulting in 21 arrests within a concentrated 12-hour period.
The mission, aimed at supporting victims of crime and reinforcing accountability within the community, resulted in a diverse range of charges being brought against those apprehended.

These charges spanned from less severe infractions such as Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, Driving Without a License, and Driving While License Suspended, to more serious offenses including Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Personnel from the Fugitive Apprehension Unit, Narcotics Enforcement Team, K-9 Unit, Unmanned Aircraft Systems Team, Homeless Outreach Team, Tactical Unit, Traffic Unit, Mounted Patrol Unit, Agricultural Unit, Aviation Unit, and the Courts and Corrections Division all played roles in the coordinated effort.

The SCSO emphasized that such ongoing missions remain a vital component of their continued commitment to community safety.
