Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children (CAC) Unit have arrested a Palm Harbor man for multiple counts of possession of child pornography.

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children (CAC) Unit have arrested a Palm Harbor man for multiple counts of possession of child pornography.

According to investigators, on July 16, 2021, detectives began an investigation after receiving information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that child pornography was being uploaded via the internet. 

Through various investigative techniques, detectives were able to identify the suspect as 23-year-old Clayton Bowman.

On Thursday, October 27, 2022, detectives arrested Bowman and charged him with twenty counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

When Bowman was interviewed by detectives, he admitted to downloading the child pornography and transmitting it online.  A search of Bowman’s cellular phone yielded additional child pornography files.

Bowman was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
