ST. PETERSBURG, FL. – A 23-year-old St. Pete man was run over by a vehicle after falling off of his scooter early Sunday morning.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, on Sunday at 3:30 AM, a 23-year-old St. Petersburg man operating an electric scooter was attempting to cross over a raised concrete median dividing SR-693 (Pasadena Ave) near 51st Avenue North.
Troopers say the man fell off the scooter and onto the inside southbound lane of SR-693 and path of an unknown type of vehicle.
The vehicle struck the man who suffered fatal injuries at the crash scene as the vehicle continued without stopping.
