PLANT CITY, Fla. – A early morning crash on Interstate 4 in Plant City claimed the life of a 25-year-old Dover man.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV was traveling westbound on I-4 in the outside lane approaching Exit 19 around 1:30 AM Sunday.
The SUV’s driver, a 22-year-old man from Plant City, lost control of the
SUV crossed all westbound lanes, entered the center median, and overturned multiple times.
As the vehicle overturned and stopped in the median, the passenger was ejected and suffered fatal injuries at the crash scene.
FHP says the driver sustained no injuries in the crash and was wearing his seatbelt. The passenger who was killed was not wearing a seatbelt.
