3 Hospitalized After 79-Year-Old Woman Drives Into Publix Liquor Store

DADE CITY, FL- Police say a minivan, being driven by a 79-year-old woman, crashed through the window and wall of the Publix liquor store located at 11798 US Highway 301, around 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Two people inside the store, including one employee at the Publix Liquor store, suffered injuries.

The employee had upper body injuries and being treated at Lakeland Regional Hospital and the customer in the store was injured by glass and debris. None of the injuries were life threatening.

The driver, a 79-year-old woman, was taken to Lakeland Regional for unknown injuries, police said.
