30-Year-Old Tampa Man Charged In Sexual Battery Of 11-Year-Old Girl

TAMPA, Fla. – A joint investigation that began as a missing person report in Bay County, Florida led to the arrest of 30-year-old Cory Hutchinson for multiple charges including lewd and lascivious molestation and sexual battery of an 11-year-old girl.

On March 20, 2021, the 11-year-old victim was reported missing from a residence in Bay County, Florida.

It was determined that she had last been seen on March 13th. The victim was later recovered at her residence on March 21st.

The investigation revealed information from the victim’s phone showing her communicating with the defendant, later identified as Cory Hutchinson, the two being together during the time she was missing, and traveling to several cities within Florida, including Orlando and Tampa.

The investigation produced probable cause in Bay County for Hutchinson’s arrest for Interference with Child Custody, Transmission of Harmful Material to a Minor, and Use of Device to Solicit Sex with a Minor.

While in the Bay County Jail, Hutchinson provided a Post-Miranda statement of traveling to the victim’s residence where he picked her up and took her to his apartment in Tampa at 4902 MacDill Ave.

As a result, Hutchinson was charged in Tampa with three (3) counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a Victim Under 12, three (3) counts of Sexual Battery of a Victim Under 12, and one (1) count of Traveling to Meet A Minor to Solicit Illegal Acts.
