33-Year-Old Brooksville Man Killed In Overnight Motorcycle Crash

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL. – A 33-year-old Brooksville man was killed in a crash that happened around 10:40 pm. Friday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV was traveling westbound in the left turn lane of SR-50 as a motorcycle was traveling eastbound in the center lane.

Troopers say at the intersection of Coastal Boulevard, the SUV made a U-Turn into the path of the motorcycle, striking the rear of the bike and ejecting the rider.

The 39-year-old man from Brooksville suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the SUV, a 49-year-old Spring Hill man, and his passengers sustained no injuries in the crash.
