PINELLAS COUNTY, FL. – A 37-year-old St. Petersburg woman was killed after being struck by a dump truck around 9:30 am on Monday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the dump truck, was traveling northbound on I-275 near mile marker 18 when the St. Pete woman walked into the path of the vehicle for an unknown reason.
As a result, the dump truck struck the pedestrian who suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the dump truck, a 57-year-old Tampa man sustained no injuries in the crash.
