CLEARWATER, Fla. – The motorcyclist who died in the accident Monday night was a 41-year-old man from Largo. Police will not release his identity until next of kin is notified.
According to police, the motorcycle previously had been reported stolen out of St. Petersburg.
Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and car at Keene Road and Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard tonight. The 41-year-old motorcyclist died on scene after the motorcycle caught fire. The call came in at 9:12 p.m.
