45-Year-Old Man Killed In St. Pete Beach Motorcycle Crash

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL.- Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle in St. Pete Beach.

According to investigators, a white Ford pick-up truck was traveling northbound on Gulf Boulevard, while a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound on Gulf Boulevard.

Deputies say the pickup truck was making a left turn into a parking lot when the two collided.

Witnesses say the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the crash.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 45-year-old man, was transported to Palms of Pasadena Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Deputies say that speed appears to be a factor in the crash.
