CLEARWATER, Fla. – Just after 8:00 PM Thursday, a head-on crash claimed the life of a 47-year-old Clearwater man.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV traveling westbound on Belleair Road, west of South Lake Avenue, entered the eastbound lane and collided nearly head-on with a pickup truck driven by the Clearwater man.
Troopers say the SUV lost control of the vehicle for ‘unknown reasons’, which was driven by a 24-year-old Temple Terrace Woman.
The man was transported to an area hospital but died from injuries suffered during the crash.
