47-Year-Old Florida Man Killed In Citrus County Crash

A 47-year-old Trenton man was killed in a crash that happened around 3:00 p.m. on Monday.

CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – A 47-year-old Trenton man was killed in a crash that happened around 3:00 p.m. on Monday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck, driven by the Trenton man, was traveling northbound on US-19, south of West Dunnellon Road. 

Troopers say a second pickup truck was traveling westbound on West Dunnellon Road and at the intersection, the second truck turned left under a green traffic signal as the Trenton man continued under a red traffic signal. 

Investigators say the man’s truck collided with the left side of the second pickup truck. 

Both vehicles rotated to a stop within the intersection. 

Troopers say the Trenton man suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
