The Florida Lottery announced today that Jessica Lewis, a 45-year-old resident of Caryville, has claimed a stunning $1 million prize from the popular Triple Red 777’s Scratch-Off game. Lewis collected her massive winnings on September 26 at the Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
She purchased the lucky ticket from the Circle K convenience store located at 416 S. Waukesha Street in Bonifay. Lewis chose to receive her prize as a one-time lump-sum payment, which netted her $584,000.00.
The TRIPLE RED 777’S is a $5 Scratch-Off game that offers players a chance at over $55 million in cash prizes. The game boasts more than 4 million winning tickets and offers overall odds of 1-in-3.92.
This win highlights the popularity and importance of Scratch-Off games within the state. These games accounted for approximately 74 percent of the Florida Lottery’s ticket sales in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
More importantly, Scratch-Off games have proven to be a vital source of funding for Florida’s education system, generating over $20.09 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) since inception. Furthermore, these games have awarded more than $66.9 billion in prizes and, including Lewis, have created 2,350 millionaires across the state.
