A 68-year-old Beverly Hills resident has claimed a multi-million dollar lottery prize after playing a $5 scratch-off game.
The Florida Lottery announced that Cynthia Price traveled to the lottery headquarters in Tallahassee on March 18 to collect her winnings. Price won the top prize in the “$2,500 A WEEK FOR LIFE” scratch-off game.
Instead of choosing the weekly lifetime installments, Price elected to receive her prize as a single, lump-sum payment. Her total payout comes to $1,949,000.00.
The winning ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven convenience store at 3045 W. Norvell Bryant Highway in Lecanto.
The “$2,500 A WEEK FOR LIFE” game costs $5 per ticket to play. The game launched with four available top prizes of $2,500 a week for life and includes more than $106.2 million in total cash prizes. The Florida Lottery lists the overall odds of winning any prize in the game at 1 in 3.96.
