50 Years, 263 Charges: Tampa 24-Year-Old Sentenced To Half-Century Behind Bars

TAMPA, Fla. — A 24-year-old man will spend the next 50 years in prison followed by a lifetime of probation after pleading guilty to dozens of severe charges involving the abuse and exploitation of children, officials announced.

Christopher Jollimore entered a guilty plea to a massive slate of charges, including six counts of attempted sexual battery of a victim less than 12, four counts of lewd or lascivious molestation of a victim less than 12, and 53 counts of promotion of sexual performance by a child. He was also charged with 100 counts of possession of child pornography and 100 counts of possession of an image or video of sexual activity with an animal.

Following his half-century prison sentence, Jollimore will be legally classified as a sexual predator, placing him under permanent supervision for the remainder of his life.

Hillsborough County State Attorney Suzy Lopez released a statement detailing the resolution of the case.

“This sentence ensures he will spend the majority of his life behind bars and under strict supervision for the rest of his life,” Lopez said. “This resolution protects the child victims in this case while also sparing them from having to relive these painful experiences in a courtroom. The victim’s families addressed the court and spoke about the lasting impact these crimes have had on them.”

The case was handled by Assistant State Attorney Jessica Couvertier. Lopez emphasized the gravity of the prosecution, adding, “Crimes against children are among the most disturbing cases that we handle, and we will continue fighting to hold offenders accountable.”
