56-Year-Old Winter Haven Man Killed On Motorcycle After Car Runs Through Stop Sign

WINTER HAVEN, FL. – A 56-year-old Winter Haven man was killed while riding a motorcycle on Wednesday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say a car, driven by a 38-year-old Lake Wales woman, was traveling southbound on 1st Ter NW, approaching Avenue D NW.

A motorcycle driven by the 56-year-old Winter Haven man was traveling westbound on Avenue D NW.

At the intersection, Troopers say the car failed to stop and entered the path of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle collided with the left side of the car. The man was transported to a local hospital but later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
