PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla – On Sunday, at approximately 7:00 p.m., deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team responded to 709 Gulf Way in St. Pete Beach to investigate a vehicle versus pedestrian crash.
According to investigators, 21-year-old Jolee-Ana Eaton was traveling west on 8th Avenue attempting to make a left-hand turn to travel south onto Gulf way.
Two pedestrians, 68-year-old Maria Rodriguez and 56-year-old Lynn Gilliland were crossing west to east on Gulf Way, not in a designated crosswalk, when they were struck by Eaton’s 2005 Nissan Pathfinder in the center of the roadway.
