60-Year-Old Brooksville Man Killed In Tuesday Morning Pasco County Crash

HUDSON, Fla. – A 60-year-old Brooksville man was killed in an early morning crash on Tuesday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck was traveling southbound on US-19 in the outside lane, south of Briar Oaks Drive. while a car driven by the Brooksville man was traveling southbound on US-19 ahead of the pickup truck.

Troopers say the pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed and collided with the rear of the car. Troopers say that the pickup truck rotated to the outside shoulder, collided with a light pole and overturned.

Investigators say the car spun and then overturned.

The 60-year-old Brooksville man was transported to an area hospital, but later died from injuries suffered during the crash.

The driver of the pickup truck, Ryan L. Allen, 32, Hudson, was arrested by FHP Troopers for DUI Manslaughter and booked in the Pasco County Jail.
