62-Year-Old Land O’ Lakes Man Dies After Friday Crash On US 41

LAND O’ LAKES, FL. – A 62-year-old Land O’ Lakes man has died from injuries sustained after a Friday crash that happened just before midnight.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a car was traveling northbound on US-41 approaching Wisteria Loop.

Troopers say a pickup truck driven by the 62-year-old Land O’ Lakes man was also traveling southbound on US-41.

At the intersection, of US 41 and Wisteria Loop, the car, driven by a 53-year-old Tampa man did a U-turn into the path of the pickup truck.

Investigators say the pickup collided with the rear of the car and after the initial impact, both vehicles traveled to the median and outside shoulder respectively.

Once on the shoulder, the pickup truck collided with a power pole.

The Land O’ Lakes man was transported to an area hospital but died on Monday, August 2nd from injuries suffered during the crash.
