TAMPA, Fla. – A 7-year-old girl has died following a fatal collision involving a pickup truck and three juveniles near the intersection of North 56th Street and Society Park Boulevard in Tampa Sunday evening.
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported the crash occurred at approximately 7:50 PM.
According to the FHP, a Chevy Silverado, driven by a 34-year-old man from Hialeah, was traveling southbound on North 56th Street when three Tampa juveniles suddenly ran across the roadway, entering the vehicle’s path.
All three children were struck by the pickup.
An 11-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Tragically, the third child, a 7-year-old girl, suffered critical injuries in the impact. She was rushed to an area hospital, where she later passed away.
