BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – A 70-year-old Brooksville man was killed in a crash Thursday that happened just after 1 pm, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the man was traveling northbound on US-41, south of Twingate Avenue, and crossed the center line entering the southbound lane.
The mans car collided with the left side of an oncoming car.
FHP says that both vehicles rotated and stopped along the southbound shoulder of the roadway.
The 70-year-old man was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. The other driver, a 50-year-old man from Brooksville, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
