MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. – A 70-year-old Kissimmee man was killed in a crash that happened just after 3 pm on Wednesday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the man was traveling north on 36th Avenue East, approaching Moccasin Wallow Road in Manatee County. A tractor-trailer was traveling east on Moccasin Wallow Road, approaching 36th Avenue East.
Troopers say the Kissimmee man ran the stop sign at the intersection and the front of the tractor-trailer collided with the left side of the mans car.
Investigators say the car overturned and stopped on the grass shoulder.
The man suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
