72-Year-Old Missing Polk County Man Found Safe

POLK COUNTY, FL. – The Silver Alert issued for a missing 72-year-old man has been canceled after Florida Highway Patrol Troopers found that man on I-4 overnight.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office issued a Silver Alert for missing and endangered 72-year-old Errol Evans, who was last seen around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2022, before leaving his home on Old Polk City Road in Lake Alfred.

Mr. Evans is a black male with grey hair, brown eyes, 5’10” tall, 160 lbs, wearing green slacks, a grey dress shirt with sailboats on it, and dress shoes. He may be driving his grey 2011 Toyota Sienna minivan with FL tag Z11 DUT.

Mr. Evans has been diagnosed with dementia and he is on medication. He is possibly headed to the Tampa area, deputies said.
