75-Year-Old Leesburg Man Killed When He Lost Control Of His SUV On I-75 In Pasco County

A 75-year-old Leesburg man was killed in a crash that happened around 4:50 pm on Sunday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 75-year-old Leesburg man was killed in a crash that happened around 4:50 pm on Sunday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say the man was traveling northbound on I-75 near the 279 Milepost when he lost control of the vehicle.

The SUV departed the highway, entered the east shoulder, struck a fence, and then collided with a tree.

Troopers say the man suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. The passenger of the SUV, a 73-year-old Leesburg man, suffered serious injuries in the crash.
