81-Year-Old Clearwater Man Killed In St. Pete Pedestrian Crash

ST. PETERSBURG, FL. – An 81-year-old Clearwater man has died after a pedestrian crash that happened around 8:16 pm on Monday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, three vehicles were traveling southbound in the inside lane of 34th Street North, north of 50th Avenue North.

Troopers say the Clearwater man was walking westbound across 34th Street North and entered the path of the vehicles.

A van collided with the Clearwater man, who suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.

The subsequent vehicles rear-ended each other, but no other injuries were sustained.

  1. This pedestrian is or was not just a 81 year old pedestrian ,this man was my Dad. His name was Ronald L. Cummins of Clearwater. Some of you may remember him as the owner of the Pinellas Park restaurant; A LIL BIT KUNTRY.
    This tragedy happened shortly after we were given the terrible news that his daughter (my sister) Andrea Cummins had passed that very same day, in fact about 2 hours prior to my father being struck and killed. Please don’t forget how fast everything can change, make each moment you have with the ones that you love priceless because you really do not know when ur last moments will really be your last
