TAMPA, FL. – Tampa Police Officers responded to a shooting at E. Lake Ave. and N. Avon Avenue around 7:14 p.m. at the basketball courts in Robles Park.
According to witnesses, an argument broke out between two teenage boys on the basketball court, when one of them went home, grabbed a gun, and fired the weapon in the direction of the basketball courts.
A 9-year-old female was struck in the lower back area and rushed to the hospital.
At last check, she is in stable condition. The teen shooter was taken into custody.
The shooting is under investigation and we will update this story as more details are released.
