KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A 34-year-old man is in custody following a burglary at a Kissimmee pharmacy late Wednesday night. The arrest occurred after a local resident called 911 at approximately 9:57 p.m. on April 8, 2026, to report suspicious activity in the area.
The Kissimmee Police Department deployed multiple assets to the scene, including the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division, Intelligence Unit, and TAC Units. To assist in the search, officers utilized a police drone, while the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office TAC Unit provided additional ground support.
Coordinated efforts between the various units led to the location and detention of the suspect, identified as Jean Carlos Hernandez Mejia. Records list his date of birth as May 9, 1991. Mejia faces several charges, including burglary to an unoccupied structure, criminal mischief, petit theft, and violation of probation.

According to the department, all citizen reports are thoroughly investigated prior to enforcement action being taken.
