911 Call Uncovers Palm River Tragedy: Boyfriend Charged With Premeditated Murder

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A domestic dispute in the Palm River neighborhood has escalated into a homicide investigation, resulting in murder charges against a local man.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office announced on Saturday, June 20, that detectives arrested 35-year-old Kyle Sanchez. He faces a charge of Premeditated First Degree Murder with a Weapon for the death of his girlfriend, 37-year-old Amanda Roark. Law enforcement officials stated that Sanchez killed Roark while the two were inside a home together on Tuscan Loon Drive.

The incident unfolded just after 3 p.m. on Friday, June 19, when deputies responded to an emergency 911 call at the residence. When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered Roark’s body. According to the initial report, she had suffered visible trauma to her upper body.

Sanchez was also found inside the home on Friday afternoon. He had sustained minor injuries and was transported to Tampa General Hospital for medical evaluation. Authorities reported that he was in stable condition. Because he remains hospitalized, a standard jail booking photograph is not currently available.

From the beginning of the response, sheriff’s deputies treated the case as an isolated domestic incident and verified that everyone involved was accounted for at the location.

The Sheriff’s Office Public Affairs Office stated that the investigation is still active and that updates will be shared as the case progresses.
