BRANDON, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) rapidly extinguished a mobile home fire this afternoon on Fourth Street in Brandon, though the incident has prompted a fire investigation due to indications of suspicious circumstances.
The emergency began at approximately 2:00 PM on Monday, October 20, 2025, when the HCFR emergency dispatch center received multiple 911 calls reporting a residential structure fire.
Upon arrival, the first fire crews encountered a fully involved mobile home. Firefighters immediately deployed hose lines and successfully brought the intense blaze under control in less than ten minutes.
Searches of the structure confirmed that no occupants were inside the home at the time the fire was burning. One adult occupant, who was present at the scene, was transported for medical evaluation. No firefighter injuries were reported during the operation.
The incident has been referred to HCFR’s Fire Investigations Unit. During the initial 911 call, the reporting party suggested that another individual in the home may have been responsible for starting the fire. Investigators are now on scene working to determine the exact cause and all surrounding circumstances of the incident.
