93-Year-Old San Antonio Woman Airlifted After Two-Vehicle Crash On SR-52 In Pasco County

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 93-year-old San Antonio woman was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash on State Road 52 in Pasco County on Sunday afternoon, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 PM at the intersection of SR-52 and Old Tampa Bay Road.

FHP reports indicate that the woman was driving a Ford Escape westbound on SR-52 when she attempted to make a left turn at the intersection, moving directly into the path of an eastbound Tesla sedan. The Tesla, driven by a 28-year-old Altamonte Springs man, subsequently struck the Ford Escape.

The driver of the Ford Escape sustained serious injuries in the collision and was transported by air to an area hospital. The driver of the Tesla suffered minor injuries.
