What started as a minor car accident weeks ago ended in a tragedy last Monday morning that has left a Phoenix family shattered. Police say 35-year-old Danielle Jean Kassandra Little was shot and killed outside her home near 11th Avenue and Mountain View Road following a dispute with a neighbor over a $100 repair bill.
The incident occurred around 8:00 a.m. on March 23, 2026. According to investigators, Little had accidentally backed into a vehicle belonging to 21-year-old Daniel Rombach Jr. a few weeks prior.
When she was unable to immediately produce the $100 requested for the repairs, tensions between the neighbors simmered.
On the morning of the shooting, authorities say Rombach and a woman he lived with confronted Little and her husband outside their residence to demand the money.

The encounter quickly escalated from a verbal argument to violence. Police report that Rombach pulled out a firearm and shot Little in full view of her family. Her son, who witnessed the event, described watching his mother collapse after the shot was fired.
Little was rushed to a nearby hospital but later died from her injuries. Rombach was located at his apartment shortly after the shooting and taken into custody. Investigators say he admitted to the shooting and expressed remorse during his initial questioning.
Rombach has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently being held on a $1 million bond. His next court appearance is set for March 30, 2026.
Family members are struggling to process the loss of a woman they describe as a devoted wife and mother. Little leaves behind seven children, including an infant who is currently receiving care in the NICU.
