CLEARWATER, Fla. – Broadway is coming to Clearwater and tickets are on sale for A Summer of Sondheim at Ruth Eckerd Hall.
The Marcia P. Hoffman School Of The Arts will celebrate the works of Stephen Sondheim featuring performances of “Sunday in the Park With George” and “Into the Woods”.
“Sunday in the Park With George” performances will be Thursday, June 30, and Friday, July 1 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, July 2 at 2 and 7 p.m.
Performances of “Into The Woods” will be Thursday, Aug. 4, and Friday, Aug. 5, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 6 at 2 and 7 p.m.
“Sondheim was a technical and theoretical master who blended good compositional technique with raw emotion in a way that was unique and unchallenged,” said Marcia P. Hoffman Music Department Chair, Yohance Wicks. “The difficulty in conducting Sondheim is capturing every bit of nuance that he intended, but the joy is in the journey, and everyone leaves satisfied.”

General admission tickets for all performances are $15, $10 for students and military with photo ID, and are available at the Raymond James Central Ticket Office at Ruth Eckerd Hall, by calling (727) 791.7400 or by visiting www.rutheckerdhall.com.
The ticket office is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 6 p.m., the Murray Theatre Ticket Office will open one hour prior to show time.
