Organized by the Mayor’s Asian American Pacific Islander Advisory Council, the event stands as the city’s largest annual celebration of AAPI heritage, drawing participants and visitors from across the region to the heart of downtown.

The festival offers a deep dive into the traditions of more than a dozen countries and regions, including Korea, the Philippines, China, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, India, Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Malaysia, as well as Pacific Island destinations like Hawaii and Samoa.

Food is a central draw for the event, featuring a wide array of street food vendors serving authentic dishes from across the Asian continent and the Pacific Islands. On the main stage, the schedule is packed with high-energy cultural performances, headlined by the popular Asian Pacific Islander Singing Idol competition.

Beyond the entertainment and dining, the festival serves as a community resource. Visitors can browse various educational exhibits or take advantage of free health screenings offered on-site.

The council designed the event to be a bridge for the community, offering a firsthand look at the diversity that defines Tampa’s AAPI population.

The gates are open to everyone, and there is no cost for admission. The festivities are running throughout the day at 600 N Ashley Dr.
