TAMPA, Fla. – A 33-year-old Alabama man, Ray Thomas, has been indicted on federal charges of inducement to travel to engage in prostitution and transportation of an individual to engage in prostitution.
According to the indictment, Thomas of Mobile coerced an individual to travel from Massachusetts to Florida for the purpose of engaging in prostitution.

If convicted on all counts, Thomas faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison.
The case was investigated by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations.
