Aubrey Keith Bryant, a 29-year-old from Enterprise, Alabama, apparently decided that a reckless drive with a suspended license, a bag of meth, and a trunk full of stolen guns was a good idea. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t.
On March 12, 2022, Bryant’s joyride came to a screeching halt when law enforcement in Troy, Alabama, pulled him over for his less-than-stellar driving skills. It all went downhill from there.

Turns out, not only was Bryant’s license revoked, but he also had a bag of suspected methamphetamine and a handgun in plain sight.
A deeper dive into his vehicle revealed a veritable arsenal – 10 guns, a suppressor, and someone else’s checkbook. Further investigation showed these goodies had been lifted from a storage unit in Enterprise.
Fast forward to May 2, 2024, Bryant decided to cut his losses and pleaded guilty to possession of the stolen firearms in federal court.
On Monday, a federal judge handed down the verdict: 48 months in the slammer, followed by three years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system, so Bryant has plenty of time to reflect on his life choices.
Remember, folks, crime doesn’t pay and certainly doesn’t make for a smooth ride.
