Angry At Taco Bell Employee, Florida Man Calls Taco Bell With Threats To Start Shooting

A Florida man has been arrested after calling a Taco Bell and making threats to come to the restaurant and start shooting.

According to deputies, a Taco Bell in Sebring, Florida, received two calls from someone threatening to come to the restaurant and “start shooting”. The management of the location closed the store as deputies started their investigation.

Detectives were able to trace the calls to Fort Meade. With the help of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was executed at a home there Saturday evening, and the suspect, Carlton Edler, 32, of Fort Meade was arrested at another home.

According to deputies, Edler confessed he was angry at an employee and made the calls.

Edler is currently in the Polk County Jail, he also had a warrant in Polk County, and will be transferred to Highlands County jail to face two counts of violating Florida Statute 790.163: False report concerning planting a bomb, an explosive, or a weapon of mass destruction, or concerning the use of firearms in a violent manner, which is a second-degree felony in Florida.
