A Michigan woman is behind bars after deputies say she pulled a gun on a man during a heated argument in the Lower Keys.
The incident happened on May 20, 2026, at around 3:00 p.m. at a home on Circle Drive in the Bay Point neighborhood. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene immediately after getting a call about a woman wielding a firearm.
According to authorities, 35-year-old Tesa Tamika Keith of Lowell, Michigan, was arguing with an adult male victim when she pointed a handgun at him. When deputies first questioned her, Keith denied having a weapon. However, she later changed her story and admitted to having a gun. Deputies searched the home and found a 9mm handgun hidden underneath a pile of clothes.

The male victim showed deputies video footage that supported his account and depicted exactly what happened.
Keith was arrested on the spot and taken straight to jail. She faces formal charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest. Fortunately, officials report that no serious injuries occurred during the dispute.
