A 43-year-old Arkansas man, Wade Lawrence Green, is currently detained after being arrested on multiple felony charges, including two counts of rape and one count of concealing a birth, following allegations of sexual assault against a child victim dating back to 2020.
According to Benton County Sheriff’s Office records, Green stands accused of sexual abuse that led to the victim, who was a minor, becoming pregnant in 2023. Police allege that Green then attempted to force an abortion using “brutal at-home methods,” including punching the girl in the stomach and shoving a metal rod inside her.
The child victim reportedly gave birth to a stillborn baby inside the residence in March 2023 and told police she never saw the body, which she believes Green disposed of. She further stated that she never received medical attention.
The abuse, including further sexual assault only weeks postpartum, only stopped after she left Green’s residence. The victim also claims Green threatened to release videos of the assault if she ever told anyone.
Green was arrested on Monday, after a 911 call was placed on November 9 reporting a “bad man” sexually assaulting young girls.
The Bentonville Police Department has described the investigation as “very active” and indicated there may be multiple child victims. Green is being held on a $500,000 bond and is scheduled for a court appearance on December 22.
